How to Record What You Hear With Audacity
I cannot help only complain that I as well have lost the power to record what I hear,and send information technology to cd author, ie The Archers for the wife.

Hi, I employ Audacity for recording what I hear, I understand that Brazenness will be adding windows x to the supported o/south shortly. For such things as the ARCHERS you could download the podcast direct from the BBC IPLAYER.

With Brazenness and Win 10 if you take Brazenness 2.1 enable the WASAPI input, then you tin can actually loop the speakers back into the recording input. I tried it, and it does work, although I am not finished analyzing quality of the finished product.
Normally I've been using Adobe Audition 3.0 (yeah, old version, but information technology was working even on Win 7-64 bit). Now with Win 10 I cannot get the "sound mixer" to prove an input signal, so as still no fix on recording with Audition.

It really withal exists, information technology's merely hidden. Once yous're in the panel for the record devices correct-click and select "Show deactivated devices". At that place y'all should run across the Stereo mix which you can enable and so select.

Audacity does not work with Windows 10 period.....Trying to activate features that don't exist is useless....Maybe someday Audacity will be uniform with Windows 10....Until then, be glad you were able to tape earlier the demise....

Fascinating, because I have been using Brazenness with no issues in Windows 10. I take washed a "record what you hear" perfectly.
Perhaps you have an older version of Brazenness.

Have the newest version...Maybe if I restart my computer 15 more than times will help...
Per the Audacity forum...
Audacity does not yet take full back up for Windows 10 due to driver requirements. This page outlines computer requirements and problems using current Audacity for Windows 10.
Think I'll find an alternative....and not on the Store...Another amazing update from Windows 10...

I had the same prob have only taken the pc back to an earlier time to recover the sound card probs. Yet no further with recording though.

I have Realtek audio and lost "tape what you lot hear", when I upgraded to Windows ten 64bit. Read heaps of suggestions but none worked for me. Then I decided to go directly to the Realtek website nether GOOGLE SEARCH, plant REALTEK Audio & NETWORK DRIVERS. Clicked on information technology, got Hard disk AUDIO CODECS page, clicked on information technology, up came ACCEPT THE ABOVE, box tick, clicked next, 32bit and 64bit drivers, clicked on 64bit and downloaded for my PC. It uninstalled the existing driver, rebooted, installed the new commuter, rebooted, right clicked on the speaker, recording, scrolled downwards and there in all information technology'due south celebrity was the STEREO MIX. Enabled and defaulted it and we're back in business. It was too easy.
